Susan Woll, PT is  Instructor  an IBITA Advanced Course Instructor in Adult Hemiplegia.  She was trained in Europe by Karel and Berta Bobath in the Treatment of Adult Hemiplegia in 1973 and in Pediatrics in 1983.  She has co-authored a Chapter on Recovery of Motor Control and Planning of Management Strategies for Clients with Neurologic Disorders and an article on her research on Forced use /Constraint Induced Movement Therapy. She presently heads  a school for training therapists in Forced Use in a Clinic in Pforzheim, Germany.   She currently has a private practice and conducts workshops in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Spain.

Another facet of our professional activities is the handling of clients using forced use management strategies to promote more complete and more rapid recovery of motor control.  Our clients participate in an intensive regime of mobilisation of areas of orthopedic stiffness, strengthening and activation of muscular control as well as recovering functional use of the involved body segments.  Clients participate for up to 6 hours per day in blocks of  one to three weeks.  All of the current neuroscience research proves that it is never too late to activate the processes that promote recovery of motor control.
